WLW wrestling returns to Richmond on Saturday

World League Wrestling and area legend Harley Race will return to Richmond this Saturday for a card that also features WLW heavyweight champion Brian Breaker defending his title.

Breaker won the title Sept. 18 in Burlington, Iowa.

Wrestling fans will also see the debut of the WLW Royal Challenge match featuring Jason Jones, “The Prince of Professional Wrestling”. Jones and his opponent will wrestle for 30 minutes, with the first to score a pin declared the winner.

Also on Saturday’s wrestling card:

• WLW women’s champion Lucy “Latina Princess” Mendez will defend her title against Stacey O’Brien, the “Boston Brawler”.

• A WLW tag team championship match.

Tickets are $10, or $15 for Golden Circle seating, if purchased in advance. They’ll cost $12 and $17, respectively, at the door.

Tickets are available at Richmond City Hall, Apple Market and the Academy Bank branch inside Walmart in Richmond.

Proceeds will help benefit Cub Scout Pack 324 of Richmond.
