Helen Lois (Misenhelter) Hoyt

Helen Lois (Misenhelter) Hoyt, 87, formerly of Hamilton, Mo., passed away Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Sanford Health Care.
Helen was born Feb. 4, 1924 to John Henry and Hattie Elizabeth Misenhelter. She grew up in rural Hamilton and attended New York High School in Hamilton graduating in 1941.
Helen was united in marriage with George A. Weaver May 31, 1947. George passed away Dec. 14, 1971. She was united in marriage with Charles W. Hoyt Jan. 31, 1973. Charlie passed away June 19, 1999.
Helen retired from Avon Products as an assistant supervisor for 26 years. She was a charter member of Hope Lutheran Church in Hermitage, Mo. during retirement at Pomme De Terre Lake. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Richmond, a member of the altar guild and LWML. She moved to Sioux Falls, S.D. to be near her stepdaughter, Tina and family in 2006.
Survivors include: her step-daughter, Tina Lenz and her husband Rod of Sioux Falls, S.D.; grandchildren, Andrea Woltjer and her husband Steve of Crooks, S.D., Ashley Lenz of Lincoln, Neb.; great-grandchild, Weston Woltjer “doll boy” of Crooks, S.D.; nephews and nieces, Jim Misenhelter of Richmond, Bill Misenhelter of Richmond, Shirley Swindler of Hamilton, Nancy Ellen Paul of Albany, Mo., Waynie Smith of Independence, Melissa Holzhauser and Marsha Young of St. Joe, Mo.; three sister-in-laws, Leona Adkison of Hamilton, Vivian Misenhelter of Richmond, and Norma Hoyt-Paige of Ft. Scott, Kan.
Those preceding her in death are: her parents; two brothers, Oren Misenhelter and Leonard Misenhelter; both husbands, and niece Sue Allen.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, S.D. with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday, July 8 at Bram Funeral Home in Hamilton. Memorials may be directed to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls, S.D. or Sioux Falls Lutheran School.
