Lady Cats start strong

The Orrick Lady Bearcats got off to a good start Tuesday night as they hosted North Platte in a non-conference get-together.
However, coach Mitch Comstock thought his team could have had a better second half. The Lady Bearcats played well enough though to get past the visitors 47-33, and improve to 15-2 for the season.
Orrick held the Panthers to a field goal as the home team bolted out to a 14-2 lead. The Lady Bearcats took a 23-9 advantage into the locker room for halftime, but struggled in the third quarter as North Platte held a 15-13 scoring edge. Orrick hit just 26 percent from the field, and converted 13 of 24 from the stripe.
