Frank Robert Ashinhurst, Jr.

Frank “Frankie” Robert Ashinhurst, Jr., 41, of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2009 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Mo.
Frankie was born Jan. 10, 1968 in Lexington, the son of Frank R. Ashinhurst, Sr. and Judy Adams Minnick. He married Carla Ann Rush Sept. 28, 1996 in St. Lucie; she survives of the home.
Frankie was a hairdresser for 22 years and owned and operated Salon LaVogue with his wife, Carla. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lexington, an Elder in the church, a member of Lexington Chamber of Commerce and the Lexington Elks Lodge.
In addition to his wife, Carla, survivors include: three children, Carson Lee Ashinhurst, Aidan Jackson Ashinhurst, and Benton Rush Ashinhurst; his parents, Frank and Debbie Ashinhurst, Sr., of Lexington and Judy and Dale Minnick, of Richmond; maternal grandparents, Carl and Eva Ramseyer, of Independence; three brothers, Mark Ashinhurst, of Camdenton, Scott Fletcher, of Kansas City, Mo., and Jason Minnick and his wife, Amy, of Smithville; four sisters: Michelle Jones and husband, Vernon, of Lexington, Chanda McFee and husband, Jeromie, of Richmond, Andrea Ashinhurst and husband, Leon, and Carissa Minnick, all of Richmond; a brother-in-law, Mark Buchanan and wife, Debbie, of Richmond; sister-in-laws, Debbie Rush and Steve Saults, of Dover, and Nan Ghisalberti and husband, Tony, of Lexington; two aunts, Joyce Bowles and husband, Gary, and Georginia Minnick and husband, David; and several nieces and nephews.
His grandparents and his brother, Adam, preceded him in death.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Children’s Education Fund.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 4, at the First Presbyterian Church of Lexington. Services will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 5, at the church. Burial will be in Lexington Memory Gardens.
Arrangements are under the direction of Walker-Nadler-Fuller Funeral Home in Lexington.
