Daily News wins six awards in advertising

The Daily News staff received notification yesterday that it had won six awards in the Missouri Ad Managers Association 2008 Best Ad Contest.
Composing Manager Karen Payne won three individual awards for Best Signature Page, Best Newspaper Promotion and Most Creative Use of Full Color.
Production Manager Liz Johnson won an award in the Best Single House ad category.
The Daily News staff also received two awards for Best One Time Special Section for 2008 Baby Boomers and Beyond and 2008 Fall Harvest.
“We’re very honored on these recognitions,” said Publisher JoEllen Black. “We’ll continue to strive to produce high quality advertising packages that meet the needs of our customers in this ever changing economic environment. It’s important that our local businesses thrive and we’ll continue to help them achieve their goals.”
