Miller sure she will not run for City Council

Councilwoman Melissa Miller will not seek re-election in April.
Miller told The Daily News on Monday that she does not plan on filing for re-election, although she did say she will run again in the future.
Miller won election two years ago as a write-in candidate.
The deadline to file for candidacy for the city council is next Tuesday, Jan. 20. The other third ward Councilwoman Tammy Folvarcik also has not filed, which means the race in the third ward could go uncontested.
Councilman Scott Marshall’s seat will be contested. Terrie Stanley has filed to run against Marshall in the fourth ward. Additionally, Bob Bond and Robert Cooper have filed for candidacy in the first ward.
