Norma Luedtke DeForest

Norma Jean Luedtke DeForest, 67, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008 at her home.
Norma was born Nov. 3, 1940 in Excelsior Springs, the daughter of Elmer Forrest and Gertrude Ernestine (Service) Batchelor. She married Ronald DeForest in June of 2007 in Liberty; he survives of Georgetown, Ontario, Can.
Additional survivors include: one daughter and son-in-law, Maria Whitehead and her husband, Gerald, of Lawton, Okla.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Holloway and his wife, Rosa, of Oceanside, Calif., Mike Wallace and his wife, Sherry, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Jim Wallace and his wife, Nancy, of Lawton, Okla.; one sister, Carol Stanhope of Excelsior Springs; eight grandchildren, Spencer and Sara Holloway, Chrystal, Sylvia and Ricky Wallace and Christopher, Abby and Angel Wallace; one great-granddaughter, Kianna; and several nieces and nephews.
Her parents and one brother, Don Batchelor, preceded her in death.
The family has suggested memorials to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 1, at Polley Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 2, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Excelsior Springs.
