Billy W. Benefiel, Sr. (07-21-2010)
Billy W. “Bill” Benefiel, Sr., 69, of Norborne, died at 1 a.m., Sunday, July 18, 2010, at the Life Care Center, Carrollton.
Bill was born May 31, 1941 to Lee Roy and Florence A. (Mullikin) Benefiel. He married Gayle D. Jackson of Kansas City, Mo. on Nov. 25, 1964; she survives of the home.
Funeral services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, at the United Methodist Church in Norborne. Visitation was 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, at Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne. Burial is at Fairhaven Cemetery in Norborne, with military graveside services conducted by the Carrollton Pence-Lovell-England VFW Post #1773. Thurman Funeral Home in Norborne is in charge of the arrangements.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Preferred Hospice in Lexington.
