Herbert E. Roe (06-15-2010)
Herbert E. Roe, 65, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2010 at his home.
Herbert was born Feb. 10, 1945 in Jackson County, the son of James Roscoe and Georgia Catherine (Williams) Roe. He married Jackie (Tarwaters) Roe Aug. 27, 1963; she survives of the home.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: three sons, Vincent Roe and wife, Elizabeth and Richard Roe, all of Excelsior Springs, and Timothy Roe and wife, Carol Lee, Independence; one daughter, Michelle Roe, Excelsior Springs; one brother, James D. Roe and wife, Wanda, Richmond; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, at Polley Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 17, at O'Dell Cemetery in Ray County.
In addition to his parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
