Donald Clifton Paul (06-08-2010)
Donald Clifton Paul, 75, of Stet, died at 1:49 p.m., Monday, June 7, 2010, at Ray County Memorial Hospital, Richmond.
Donald was born Nov. 14, 1934 in Georgeville, Mo., the son of Clifton and Mary (Coffman) Paul. He married Lois Jean McNelly of Stet Dec. 31, 1961; she survives, of the home.
Donald was a lifelong farmer. He lived in the Stet area most of his life and was a 1952 graduate of the Stet High School. Donald served on the Stet School Board and the Consumer Oil Coop Board. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Tweedie-Murray American Legion Post in Braymer. Donald loved going to Braymer and playing cards with his Legion buddies.
In addition to his wife, survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Steven Lynn Paul and wife, Brenda, Stet; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Jo Kugler and husband, Gary, Stet; one brother and sister-in-law, Billy Haynes and wife, Zelda, Lowery, Mo.; one sister, Lenora Kurtz, Everett, Wash.; four grandchildren, Alexandria Lynn Paul, Addison Lynn Paul, Paul Hays Kugler and Clifton Ola Kugler; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Haynes.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Stet-Penniston Cemetery in Stet.
There will be no family visitation; the body will lie in state from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, June 11, at Thurman Funeral Home, Richmond. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 12, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Stet-Penniston Cemetery, Stet.
