FLETA J. PATTERSON (06-03-2010)
Fleta “June Bug” Patterson, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior Tuesday, June 1, 2010 in the presence of her niece, Ruth Dodson and husband, Norman; nephew, David Ryan and wife Pat; Crossroads Hospice; Caregivers and Friends at Golden Living Center which was her home for the past nine and a half years. Thanks to all of you for your love and care!
June was born Feb. 4, 1926 in Mt. Washington, Mo., the daughter of Franklin Edward and Ellen Murphy Carpenter. She grew up and graduated from Camden High School. June worked at Glover Manufacturing and Osteopathic Hospital in Kansas City. She retired from Truman Medical Center West as a dietitian. June Bug was loved by all and was a great inspiration and encourager to everyone she met.
Survivors include: her son and daughter-in-law, J.D. Patterson and wife, June, Bedford, Iowa; granddaughter, Jessica Dawn, Maryville; grandson, Jared Patterson, Bedford, Iowa; sister-in-law, Frances June Carpenter, Columbia; several nieces and nephews and many wonderful friends.
June was preceded in death by her parents; long time companion, Don Fox; sisters, Essie Mae Campbell, Nellie Eveline Ryan and Ellen Laverne Carpenter and brothers, Infant Jesse Carpenter, George Franklin Carpenter, Benjamin David Carpenter and John Murphy Carpenter.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, June 4, at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel, Kansas City, Mo., followed by cremation.
