Aggies rebound from Week 1 loss, rout Orioles in home opener

Norborne Hardin-Central (NHC) varsity 8-man football coach Andrew Watson liked the way his Aggies rebounded from their season-opening loss to Sweet Springs with their 70-28 thumping of Concordia Sept. 2 at Hardin-Central. “We came out and we played a lot more physical this week. … We just did a good job (of) correcting a lot of the mistakes that we saw last week and came out and played hard all four quarters,” Watson said Monday by phone. Watson also was pleased with NHC’s defensive performance against what he called “a really good offense.” “Our linebacking corps played really well,” he said. Officially, the defense played well enough to record four sacks. Kobe Gibson, a Norborne senior, led the way with two. J.W. Doyle, a Hardin-Central senior, led in tackles for a loss with four.
