Candidates in four high-profile races attracted an audience of more than 100 people Thursday to a political forum at the Farris Theatre.

The forum was co-sponsored by Farm Bureau and the Richmond News.

Mike Arnold, president of the Ray County Farm Bureau board of directors, and KMZU Farm Director Janet Adkison served as moderators. JoEllen Black, publisher of the Richmond News, welcomed the forum audience, which filled much of the theatre’s bottom level.

Candidates for three Ray County offices – prosecuting attorney, presiding commissioner and county clerk, as well as the 36th District state House of Representatives race, each had several minutes to introduce themselves and then answered questions prepared in advance.
