Donald F. Miller, 75, of Richmond, died Friday, Aug. 29, 2014 at the Carroll House in Carrollton.
Donnie was born July 14, 1939 in Carroll County, to Earl J. and Della Frances (Clemens) Miller. He married Virginia F. Letzig of Hardin, Sept. 11, 1960. She survives of the home.
Donnie worked for Thrifty Gas Company for 22 years. He then farmed for his father-in-law and continued farming until he retired in 2011. He was a member of the Hardin Methodist Church, the Hardin Booster Club and the Hardin Odd Fellows. He was a member and former Chief for the Norborne Fire Department and a member of the Norborne Drainage District. He was a member of the Fairhaven Cemetery Board. Donnie lived in Norborne, until moving to the Richmond area in 1980.
Additional survivors include; one daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Danny Johnson of Hardin, two grandchildren and their spouses, Mindi and Aaron Crook, Travis and Jessica Johnson, three great-grandchildren, Abram Crook, Makson Crook and Kyndal Johnson. In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Don Miller and two sisters, Earlene F. Stratton and Eleanor L. Roberts.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Hardin Methodist Church or to Fairhaven Cemetery. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 3, at 10:30 a.m. at the Hardin Methodist Church. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 2, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Fairhaven Cemetery in Norborne.
