Alberta Mae Pulliam, 87, of Richmond, Mo., died Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014, at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
Alberta was born Jan. 4, 1927, in Hardin, to Cleve and Edith (Mullins) Holloway. She married Carl D. Pulliam of Richmond, April 5, 1947; he preceded her in death April 26, 2008.
Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Jeanne Pulliam, of Richmond; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Michelle and Rodney Layman, Melissa and Terry Holloway, Amy and Jeremy Francis, Carmen Heinman, Christina Pulliam, Suanne and Kris Gillespie and Stephen and Misty Pulliam; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alberta was preceded in death by two sons, Berry D. Pulliam, and another son who died in infancy; two brothers, Bert A. Holloway and Charles E. Barr; two sisters, Maxine Summers and Helen Dobbeleare and one niece, Gail Cox.
Alberta was a homemaker. She was a member of the Millville Methodist Church. She lived in the Richmond area most of her life.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either Shirkey Hospice, Shirkey Nursing Home or to the New Hope Cemetery.
Funeral services will be Friday, Sept. 5, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 4, 2014, from 7 to 8 p.m., at Thurman Funeral Home.
