Bessy Ellen (Ginger) Warren, 70, formerly of Hardin, passed away May 9, 2014 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Ginger was born June 3, 1943 to Russell Orris Davis and Alice Davis Pacheco in Alexandria. She married William James (Bill) Warren Sr. Feb. 3, 1962.
Ginger raised her family in Hardin, and is best known for her famous sugar-cookies (yes we have the recipe) and her open door to whoever was in need of a safe place to stay. She touched countless lives and will be missed by many. She was of the Mormon faith.
Ginger is survived by four sons and three daughters-in-law, William James (Bill) Warren, Jr and Lori of Washington DC, Michael (Mic) Shane Warren of Pinedale, Wyo., Mark (Tony) Anthony and Becky Warren of Kansas City, Mo.; David Allen and Danyell Warren of Corona, Calif.; two daughters and one son-in-law Vicki Rhea (Kookie) and Rick Paravicini of Farson Wyo., and Tricia (Trixcy) Warren of Richmond; one step-daughter, Diane (Kandi) Douglas of Milan Ill.; four grandsons, Kristopher Warren, Marc Warren, Phillip Warren and Keegan (Chase) Warren; seven granddaughters Jessica Warren, Erica Warren, Kayler (Jade), Warren, Jenna Warren, Heile Warren, Samantha Warren-Bryant and Elizabeth Warren-Bryant; three step-grandchildren Wednesday Bennett, Dawn Schell and Spring Simpson; seven step great-grandchildren, Grace Bennett, Brandon Schell, Hope Bennett, Brooklynn, Kayla Simpson, Madyson Schell and Alyssa Simpson; eight surviving siblings, Reda Warren, Allen Davis, Russell “Eddie” Davis, Robert “Bob” Haerrman, Alberta Reynard, Barbara Davis, Norman (Casey) Moutray; two half- brothers Russell Davis and Willie Davis, two step-sisters Florence Henderson and Nita Kelly; honorary sister Kathy Beddows. Other surviving family members are Jody Warren, Barbara Warren, and Gina Simone.
Ginger was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and siblings Donald Davis, Dale Davis and Nancy Castelo.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Aug. 16, at 2 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Saturday, Aug. 16, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Internment will be at a later date.
