Two seriously injured in head-on collision

Two drivers were seriously injured Tuesday afternoon in a head-on collision on Highway C north of Rayville.

Steven W. Taber, 34, of Richmond, was Life Flighted to Truman Medical Center where he was reported in intensive care as of Wednesday.

Cierra R. Bossart, 32, of Holt, was taken by ambulance to Liberty Hospital. Bossart’s passenger, a child, received a “seatbelt rash,” according to investigating trooper Andrew Beckwith.

Bossart was driving eastbound around a curve on Highway C when her 2006 Dodge hit Taber’s 1996 Ford truck, causing it to slide off the north side of the highway, according to the Highway Patrol crash report. The wreck occurred at 4:52 p.m.
