Larry Lee “Hoss” Hosman, 71, of Richmond, died Friday, July 4, 2014, at Ray County Memorial Hospital in Richmond.
Larry was born June 4, 1943, in Hamilton, to Clyde O. “C.O.” and Hattie V. (Appleman) Hosman. He married Joyce Ann Tague of Gallatin, April 23, 1966; she preceded him in death Jan. 11, 2013.
Larry worked at Lake City Arsenal for 36 years and was outside maintenance supervisor when he retired. He was of the Baptist faith. He had lived in Richmond most of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and family and liked his John Deere Tractors.
Survivors include one son, Cleveland Hosman and his wife, Shannon, of Richmond; three daughters, Patty Hoaglin and her husband, Denton, of Independence, Beverly Gaulden and her husband, Gerald, of Richmond and Stephanie Hartman and her husband, Jerry of Hamilton; one brother, David Hosman, and his wife, Kathy, of St. Louis; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Hosman.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association.
Graveside services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Highland Cemetery in Hamilton. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 9, 2014, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Thurman Funeral Home of Richmond is in charge of the arrangements.
