Twila Elaine Brooke, 64, of Hardin, passed away Friday, June 6, 2014 at her residence in Hardin.
Mrs. Brooke was born May 24, 1950 in Norborne, to Lois (Glenn) Markley and Howard Markley. She attended schools in Norborne. Following high school she married Robert “Ervin” Brooke of Norborne, Feb. 20, 1970. She was employed and retired from Wal-Mart after 26 years of service and met many life- long friends and wonderful co-workers throughout the years. She proudly devoted her time to being a loving wife and a wonderful mother to her three sons. She was very blessed and honored to be a grandmother to many precious grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Ervin Brooke, of Hardin, Missouri; sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Amy Brooke of Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Bryan and Natasha Brooke of Independence, Missouri, and Mike and Kandi Brooke of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; brother and sister-in-law Ronnie and Maryanne Markley of Norborne, Missouri; seventeen grandchildren, Robert Kieth, Brandon Tylor, Trevor Michael, Ryan Schuyler, Chase Robert, Christopher Ryan, Jeremy Nicholas, Aaron Robert, McKayla Elaine, Kilei Seren, Zayden Daniel, Draven Zylor, Brandi Lynn, Tyler Jay, Matthew Chase, Alex Michael, and Victoria Jeanne; five great-grandchildren, Mia Marie, Emy Jane, Eli Dean, Quenton Isaac, and Miles Jay; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Besides her parents, a brother, Donald “Doc” Markley and a sister, Anita Wheeler, preceded her in death.
Twila was much loved by everyone who knew her and will be greatly missed.
There will be a visitation receiving family and friends beginning at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 11, followed by a memorial service at 2 p.m. Reverend Martin Brooke officiating at Foster Funeral Chapel in Norborne. Inurnment will follow at Fairhaven Cemetery, in Norborne.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to family’s choice or Children’s Mercy Hospital in memory of Twila. They may be left at or mailed to Foster Funeral Chapels, 201 S. Main, Carrollton MO 64633.
