A Richmond man was killed June 25 when his 1981 Honda motorcycle crashed in Ray County. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 46-year old Robert Foster, a former Spartans state wrestling champion, was headed southbound on Route C, one-half-mile south of 156th Street at approximately 10:10 p.m.
A portion of Foster’s cycle struck the pavement and caused it to go off of the right side of the road. Foster was ejected as the motorcycle left the roadway.
He was transported to Truman Medical Center by Lifeflight Eagle, where he died from his injuries. The Ray County Sheriff’s Department also assisted at the scene.
