It’s time to Finish the Fight.
That’s the message the American Cancer Society will convey this weekend when its Relay for Life event returns to the Richmond High School track.
“It’s the new theme,” said event organizer Glenda Jones. “Finish the fight. Find the cure.”
The society’s Ray County Relay for Life event will begin at 7 p.m. Friday and run until 2 a.m. Saturday.
Jones said about 80 people have registered to participate in the relay. Most are members of teams that earn donations for the number of laps they walk around the track.
“People can still sign up to the very last minute” to participate, Jones said. “We’re not going to turn anyone away.”
