There were 45 participants competing in the Blue Ribbon 4K Run and walk held June 21. Proceeds from the event, sponsored by the Central 4H and Millville 4H, were donated to the Ray County Fair for 4H and FFA activities.
The race began at the Ray County Fairgrounds with the course making its way through Richmond.
Sam Hawkins was the overall winner. Hawkins, who was also competing in the 18-and-younger age group, finished the race with a time of 18 minutes, 46 seconds. First place male was Glen Martin with his time of 23:34, which was fourth overall, while Stephanie Thomas was the first female adult to cross the line with her time of 24:56. Her time was sixth in the overall standings.
