League champion Holden landed four players on the first-team MRVC East all-conference baseball squad voted on by the coaches. The Eagles won nine of their 10 conference contests this spring and easily had the best overall mark of 21-7. In addition to their four first-team selections, Holden added three second-team players as well.
Carrollton, the conference’s other district champion, had three first-team selections to go along with a second-team and honorable mention honoree. Knob Noster was the lone school not to have a first-team selection.
Richmond’s lone first-team selection was senior Reid Summers. Summers, and Lexington senior Storm Lynn were both first-team players last spring, but missed all of this season due to injuries. League bylaws state that a player who misses an entire year due to injuries earns the same honor as the previous year.
The Spartans landed three second-team players to the all-conference squad. Seniors Shane Battagler and Kaleb Heber join junior Quinton Maxwell as Richmond representatives. Heber was a second-team selection last spring as well.
