Delford Lee Figg, 88, Richmond, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Kansas City VA Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 1, 1926 to William and Geraldine (Thompkins) Figg in Hale.
He married Delores Swihart July 2, 1947 in Waterloo, Iowa. She survives of the home in Richmond.
Delford proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War. He was an Electrician lineman for Rural Electric Association for thirty plus years. Mr. Figg was a member of the VFW, American legion, loved hunting and fishing and traveled in his motor home.
Additional Survivors: children, Gary Dean Figg, Polo, Mary Ann Wheeler, Richmond, and Mr. and Mrs. Rex Arlen Figg, Lake Wales, Fla.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters; two brothers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Geraldine Figg; and three brothers.
