John David Heil, 76, of Norborne, died Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at Shirkey Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Richmond.
David was born on June 26, 1937 in Norborne to George Fredrick Christian and Elsie Melinda (Wenzel) Heil. He married Marilyn Marie Lyon of Norborne on June 21, 1968; she survives of Norborne.
David was a 1955 graduate of Norborne High School. He was a United States Army Veteran. He attended Lutheran School in Norborne. He also attended the University of Missouri in Columbia. David was a farmer. He lived most of his life in the Norborne area. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Norborne.
Additional survivors include one son, Donald Joseph Heil of Norborne and his companion, Jaymie Pullin; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Danny and Leanna Heil of Norborne and Joe and Ann Heil of Norborne; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann Carolyn and Jim Hogan of Kansas City, Mo. and Linda and Bob Brucker of Kansas City, Mo.; two grandchildren, Aaron Heil and his wife, Maggie and Erica Gholson and her husband, Brian; four great-grandchildren, Jayden and Meah Gholson, Eli Heil and Emma McElwee; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
David was preceded in death by his parents and one nephew, Kirby Lepper.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery Association.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 9, at 1:30 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Norborne. Visitation will be Thursday, May 8, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran church in Norborne.
