Gary Gene Foote, 65, of Orrick, died Thursday, May 8, 2014 at his home.
Gary was born June 14, 1948 in Junction City, Kan. to Eugene Alvin and Rebecca Katherine Foote. He married Kristie L. Ramsdell of Oxnard, Calif. March 27, 1982; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors his mother Kaye Allen of Richmond; four sons and daughters-in-law, Tony Gene and Sarah Foote of Excelsior Springs, Kenneth Wayne Foote of Gladstone, Christopher Michael Foote of Junction City, Kans. and Edward Dennis Clarke II and his wife, Marci of Junction City, Kans.; two daughters, Jennifer Jean Foote of Clear Lake, Calif. and Rebecca Mary Katherine Foote of Orrick; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth and Bea Jeffries of Orrick, Bill and Phyllis Jeffries of Orrick, Robert and Ruth Foote of Lakebay, Wash. and Larry and Marge Foote of Whiteville, Tenn.; one sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Charles Adams of Apple Valley, Calif.; Eleven grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his father, Gary was preceded in death by one brother, Marty Jeffries.
Gary was a Law Enforcement Officer in the Oxnard, Calif. Police Department for two years, Ray County Sheriff’s Department for eight years and the Richmond Police department for 12 years before retiring. He was a member of the Richmond Masonic Lodge 57 A.F. and A.M. and also the Camden Masonic Lodge 223 A.F. and A.M. He was a member of the Richmond Odd Fellows Lodge. Gary had lived in Orrick most of his life.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
A masonic service will be held Saturday, May 17, at 1:30 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
