Phillip K. Foster, 73, of Richmond, died Monday, April 14, 2014 at his home.
Phillip was born Aug. 22, 1940 in Camden, to Robert and Marie (Neal) Foster. He married Elizabeth Ann Alexander of Richmond June 10, 1961; she survives of the home.
Phillip was employed by Allis Chalmers for 35 years as a welder after retirement. He enjoyed farming and working at the Richmond Water Plant. He was of the Methodist faith. Phillip had lived in the Richmond area most of his life.
Survivors include one son, Robert Russell “Rusty” Foster of Richmond; two daughters and son-in-law, Judy and Greg Petry of Murfreesboro, Tenn. and Kathy O’Doniel of Richmond; five grandchildren, Tyler Hoeppner, Dylan Petry, Seth Petry, Jacob O’Doniel and Chris McFall; and three great-grandchildren, Aireanna Hoeppner, Taylor Hoeppner and Dayton Hoeppner.
Phillip was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Zachery O’Doniel and Lauren Paige Foster.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society or the Crossroads Hospice.
Memorial graveside services will be held Thursday, April 17, at 1:30 p.m. at the Richmond Memory Gardens Cemetery.
