Norma C. (Bailey) Baker, 79, of Richmond, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at Shirkey Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Richmond.
Norma was born Oct. 11, 1934 in Hardin, the daughter of William and Hazel (Kemmerer) Bailey. She attended Hardin Central Elementary School and high school in Bunnell, Fla.
She was married to Robert Baker of Hardin, and between them raised four children, Pamela, Cheryl, Shelly, and Christopher. Norma was a homemaker and had worked at Banquet Foods in Carrollton and S & K Industries in Lexington. She completed her medical assistant degree later in life. She was of the Methodist faith.
Norma is survived by three daughters, Pamela Stewart, Lexington; Cheryl Wilson and husband, Ed, Lee’s Summit; Shelly Smith and husband, Greg, Richmond; one son, Christopher Baker, Excelsior Springs; three grandchildren, Brice Stewart, Heather Norris, Carissa Seek; and five great-grandchildren, Hannah Ford, Hailey Stewart, Graison Seek, Ollie Stewart and Liam Seek.
Her parents and one brother, William Bailey, preceded her in death.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 4, at Lavelock Cemetery, Hardin, with Reverend Terry Cook officiating.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Shirkey Hospice in memory of Norma. They may be left at or mailed to Foster Funeral Chapels, 201 S. Main, Carrollton MO 64633.
