Junior varsity tennis players picked up some valuable expierence Wednesday afternoon at the Excelsior Springs JV tournament. The Spartans tied Fort Osage and Odessa for sixth place in the eight-team event. Liberty North took first, followed by Kearney, Excelsior Springs, Winnetonka and William Chrisman.
“We got a lot of play in,” Richmond coach Julie Baker said. “It was frustrating because we keep making the same errors. I hope today fixed some of those.”
Austin Crossland won two of his three pool matches in No. 2 singles. He won his first two matches – 6-3 over Marques of William Chrisman and 6-3 over Dickmeier of Odessa.
