It didn’t take long for Orrick’s Samantha Fulte to replace her own name in the OHS record book. Just a few days after setting three new school records at the Cameron Invitational, the Lady Bearcat sophomore set another one at Friday’s Mineral Water Classic in Excelsior Springs
Fulte captured a pair of first-place finishes Friday with the first one coming in the triple jump. The winning distance of 36 feet, 5 ¼ inches not only broke her own mark of 35-10 set three days earlier, but also set a new Mineral Water Classic record as well. Fulte also turned in the winning time of 16.38 in the 100-meter hurdles to go along with a third-place finish in the long jump (15-10) and a ninth-place showing in the 200 meters (28.83).
