Fulte re-writes OHS track standards

Sophomore sets three new school marks at Cameron

By Russ Green-Sports Editor

Samantha Fulte brought home a pair of first-place finishes for the Lady Bearcat track team at Tuesday’s Cameron Invitational. She not only picked up two more wins, but the Orrick sophomore broke three school records – two of those belonging to her coach Jenny Miller (Nail) set in 1992.

Orrick was one of the smaller schools competing in the 15-school meet with Chillicothe winning both the boys and girls team titles.

Chillicothe racked up 129 points to win the boys division, while Savannah was a distant second with 81 points and St. Joseph Lafayette placed fourth with 77.5. The Lady Hornets ended the day with 131 points, with Plattsburg grabbing the second spot after compiling 78 points and Polo was third with 60.5.
