Ronald F. “Ronny” Rodgers, 64, Hardin, died Friday, March 7, 2014, north of Hardin.
Ronny was born July 1, 1949 in Polo, to Willis Howard and Ruby Earline (Wall) Rodgers. He married Debra J. Hawkins of Stet, June 1, 1985. She survives of the home.
Ronny was a member of the Cowgill Methodist Church. Ronny worked at MFA Agri-Services for 34 years retiring as the Assistant Manager in 2013. He was an avid fox and coyote hunter. He was a member of the Braymer Fox Hunters Association, the American Fox Hunters Association and was active at the July Nationals. He lived in the Hardin area most of his life.
Additional survivors include; one son, Tyler Rodgers and his wife, Jill of Gladstone, two daughters, Kelli Rodgers of Troy, Kans., Megan Eppens and her husband, Jeremy of Platte City, two brothers, Earl Rodgers of Tyler, Texas, Dale Rodgers and his wife, Gail of Smithville, one sister, Joyce Rodgers of Lee’s Summit, five grandchildren, Jerick Lowe, Kourtney Bowman, Jace Eppens, Carter Eppens and Reed Caudill. Ronny is also survived by one step-son, Tim Bowman and his wife Diane of Gladstone, one step-daughter, Kelly Caudill and her husband, Tony of Kansas City, Mo..
In addition to his parents, Ronny was preceded in death by one daughter, Robin Lowe and her baby, Addison.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Braymer Fox Hunters Association.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 11, at 2 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be held Monday, March 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Wakenda Cemetery, north of Hardin.
