The Orrick Bearcats took two of their first three matches Tuesday afternoon in the opening quad of the season at Shirkey Golf Course. The Bearcats carded a team-total 198 for the match that was delayed one day due to the weather.
Hamilton had the low round of the day for the four teams involved with a 171, with Mid Buchanan shooting a 204 and Plattsburg ending the day with a 251. The Hornets had the two low individual rounds for the cold afternoon, with Shawn Cook carding a one-over par 37 to take medalist honors by 5 shots over his teammate Hunter Cornelins.
Tanner Werle had the low round of the day for the Bearcats with a 44, while Jake Jennings finished 3 strokes off. Tanner Wyse ended the day with a 53 for Orrick, followed by Mason Karnes with 54 and Brandon Edney with 55.
