Donna June Bathgate, 56, of Richmond, died Saturday, March 22, 2014 at North Kansas City Hospital in North Kansas City.
Donna was born May 17, 1957 in Richmond to Donald and Mary June (Wollard) Coats. She married Bill Bathgate of Richmond Sept. 13, 1981; he survives of the home.
Donna was a 1975 graduate of Braymer High School. She received her B.S. degree in Business from Trenton Junior College. Donna loved horses and dogs and actively adopted wild mustangs through BLM. She was a member of the Millville United Methodist Church. She had lived in the Richmond area most of her life.
Survivors include three brothers and sisters-in-law, Dave and Glenda Coats of Eureka Springs, Ark., Jonny and Joyce Coats of Norborne, and Jim and Carla Coats of Kansas City, Mo.; and two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Coats of Millville, and Carol Coats of Norborne.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Don Coats and Michael J. Coats; and one sister, Mary Lou Coats.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the New Hope Cemetery.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 26, at 7 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 26, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home.
