WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 5

Agronomist Wyatt Miller of the Missouri Extension office in Richmond will host the Annual Soils & Crops Conference Feb. 11 at Ray County Memorial Veterans Building, 312 Clark St., Richmond. Registration is at 8:30 a.m. followed by speakers and lunch. It concludes at 3 p.m. Deadline to register is Feb. 5. A $10 fee includes a catered lunch by Nadler’s. Call 776-6961.

From 4 to 5 p.m.,  Havesters mobile food pantry will be at 210 Hwy. and Bruns Rd. at the Arnold’s Pioneer Seed Building in Orrick.  This is available on a first come first serve basis.

At 7 p.m., “Jewels in the Sand” a misistry that assists in guiding the wounded to find peace, will be presented by Messenger Chapel Church, at 601 South Thornton St., Richmond.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 7

SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 8

From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Richmond Kiwanis Club will host a chili and soup dinner at the United Christian Presbyterian Church , 501 N. Spartan Drive. $5 donation with deliveries available by calling 816-405-0824 from 11 a.m. to noon.

At 1 p.m., The Ray County Genealogical Association will meet at the Ray County Museum.  The program will be, “A Visit to Saint Petersburg, Russia with Lynn and Neal.”  The public is invited.

SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 9

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., the public is invited to a fundraiser spaghetti dinner and silent auction for HelpHopeLive, an organization that will help with medical expenses and relocation costs for Kathy Graham of Richmond. She will undergo a double-lung transplant in Pittsburgh, Pa., which requires her to move there. The event, at Richmond Shrine Club, 400 Wollard Blvd., is a free-will donation. Contributions are tax deductible.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 10

From 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.,  the Ray County Quilts of Valor Sewing Group will meet at All About Quilting, 108 Wollard Blvd in Richmond.  Contact Laurel Kindley at (816) 868-5246 for more information.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. with weigh-in, Weight Watchers will meet at the Ray County Health Department, 820 E. Lexington St., Richmond.

At 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., T.O.P.S. (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets at the United Christian Presbyterian Church, 501 N. Spartan Dr. in Richmond.

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 11

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., AARP Tax Foundation Offering Free tax preparation service for Seniors and families with low to middle income. Trained AARP volunteers will be available at the Ray County Library, 215 E Lexington in Richmond; If you are disabled or over 65, you may be eligible for a refund from the State of MO for your Rent or Real Estate Tax even if your income is below that requiring you to file a return. Bring a rent statement from your landlord or your paid real estate tax receipt, income statements for Social Security, Interest and Pensions. Also bring proof of payments for any supplemental health and /or drug insurance premiums.

At 11:30 a.m., Richmond Kiwanis meets at the 19th Hole with social time beginning at 11:30 and meeting at noon.

At 4 p.m., American Legion will host bingo at the Ray County Veterans Building, 312 Clark St., Richmond. Doors open at 4 p.m. with the first game beginning at 6 p.m.

At 6 p.m., Humane Society of Ray County will meet at the shelter for our monthly board meeting.  The meetings have been changed to the second Tuesday of the month.

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 12

At 1 p.m., Chapter CO of P.E.O. will meet at the home of Patti Bamman with Judy Salter as the Co-hostess. The social time begins at 1 p.m. with the meeting to follow at 1:30.
