Hardin City Clerk Patty Lam said water-related issues would be the No. 1 prioritywhen the Board of Aldermen meets at 7 p.m. Feb. 25 at Hardin City Hall.
Issues up for discussion will include Hardin’s two boil orders during February. The first resulted from some water main breaks the weekend of Feb. 8-9. It was lifted last Thursday, but another water main broke early Friday morning, resulting in another boil order, Lam said Friday by phone.
Lam estimated that a sample would be taken today (Monday) to see if the latest boil order could be lifted.
The board also is expected to discuss finding someone to deal with future water main breaks. On Feb. 3, John Gilfillan resigned as Hardin’s public works director and Larry Eastley is filling the position temporarily, according to Lam. The board was scheduled to meet this Tuesday. Lacking a quorum for this week, the meeting was postponed, Lam said.
