Third-quarter drought costs Lady Dawgs

The Hardin-Central Lady Bulldogs were held to just one free throw in the third quarter Monday night as they dropped a 51-31 home contest to Wellington-Napoleon. The Lady Dawgs held a 13-8 lead after the first quarter, but Wellington came back in the second period and took a 26-19 lead at intermission. After the Hardin-Central cold spell in the third quarter, the Lady Tigers held a 42-20 lead entering the fourth period.

The Lady Tigers grabbed 43 rebounds in the game as they improved to 12-6 for the season.

Mikayla Lohsandt led the Lady Tiger scoring with 13 points to go along with 14 rebounds. Jaime Ruskey added 12 points for Wellington-Napoleon, while Tori Florence chipped in 10 points, with Madison Thornburg scoring 7 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
