David E. Caylor, 64, of Richmond, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 at his home.
David was born Feb. 13, 1949 in Richmond, to Muriel and Jean (Roney) Caylor. He married Lola Jean Cringan of Richmond July 5, 1969; she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include three sons and daughter-in-law, Michael Caylor of Lexington, William and Kay Caylor of Richmond and Andrew Caylor and his fiancé, Rahelah Hosain Zada of Richmond; one sister and brother-in-law, Sharon Yvonne and John Bugg of Weathersby Lake; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to his parents, David was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Caylor.
David lived most of his life in the Richmond area. He was a self-employed over the road truck driver, the owner and operator of D&L Enterprises. David was a United States Air Force Veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church and Bikers for Christ.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 3, at 11 a.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Monday, Feb. 3, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, where military honors will be provided by the Ray County Veterans.
