Bank’s sweet treats help fill R-XVI backpacks

On Valentine’s Day, Community Bank of Missouri hosted a bake sale to benefit the Richmond Educational Foundation and the R-XVI Backpack Program. All baked goods were made by bank staff and were well-received by the public, bank president D.R. Landwehr said. In all, $500 was raised for the Backpack Program, which sends food home over the weekend with students from the district’s four schools. Pictured is Sharon Baker presenting a check to Jonathan Renfro, president of the Richmond Educational Foundation. Also pictured, from left: Michelle Rector, Melanie LaVene, Laura O’Dell, Jessica Johnson, Amy Deitch and Carrie Smith. (Submitted photo)
