Everybody got in on the act in Richmond’s 88-24 win over Kingsville in the opening round of the Wellington-Napoleon Invitational Monday night. The top-seeded Spartans scored the first 13 points of the night and never looked back as they improved to 9-5 and will meet MRVC East foe Lexington in tonight’s semifinal contest.
The Minutemen got 25 points from Jevon Williams as they thumped Concordia 81-49 in their first-round matchup Tuesday night.
The Spartans connected on 17 of 31 shots inside the arc, and 18 of 35 outside, with Reid Summers re-writing his own school mark with 12 treys on 21 attempts on his way to a 40-point night.
Several other Spartans had good nights with Quinton Maxwell controlling the paint by scoring a career-high 18 points as he hit 9 of his 12 field goal attempts.
