St. Paul grabbed a 22-3 lead after the first 8 minutes on the way to a 58-23 win over the Bearcats at Orrick Tuesday night. The Saints remain unbeaten in three I-70 Conference games with the victory and also improved to 11-2 overall. The Bearcats fall to 4-12 after dropping the league opener.
St. Paul took a 35-13 advantage by the half and then held Orrick to single digits in the third and fourth periods.
Orrick struggled with its shooting touch as the Bearcats hit just 7 of 37 from the field and 7 of 12 from the free throw line. The Bearcats also committed 19 turnovers.
