The Hardin-Central Bulldogs bounced back from their first defeat of the year with a 46-41 road victory Friday night at Tina-Avalon. The Bulldogs, 10-1 overall, improved to 3-0 in the CLAA with the win as Clif Kugler hit for 17 points to go along with 8 rebounds.
The Lady Bulldogs also kept their league record unblemished in three tries with a 47-36 win against Tina-Avalon. Olivia Ellis led the way with 19 points as Hardin-Central improved to 7-4 overall.
The Bulldogs held a 21-20 lead over the Dragons at halftime, and outscored the home team 14-8 in the third period as Kugler scored 9 of his points. Tina-Avalon (5-4 overall and 2-1 in conference) was led by Dylan Rucker with 14 points and Lane Mathews’ 12 points. Wyatt Craven and Zak Finley added 9 points each for the Dawgs with Finley hitting 6 of 8 free throws in the final period to hold off the Dragons.
