Betty Jean (Dooley) Minnick, of Independence, formerly of Richmond, went home to be with the Lord Jan. 27, 2014
Betty was born to Jack and Nannie Lee Dooley Jan. 4, 1926. On March 12, 1944, she was married to Marvin E. Minnick.
Betty is survived by her son, Marvin E. Minnick Jr. and his wife Barbara of Claycomo; her daughter, Brenda Spencer of Independence; her granddaughter, Stacy Baker and her husband, Jeff and daughters Taylor, Leighann and Paige of Independence; her grandson, John Spencer and his wife, Rebecca and their children, Elijah, Phineas, and
Norah of St. Joseph.
She was preceded in death by her husband and great grandson, Baby Boy Spencer.

Private graveside services were held Jan. 28.
