By Russ Green-Sports Editor

The Orrick Bearcats rallied from as far back as 30 points Friday night to claim their second consecutive consolation title in as many weeks. Orrick picked up its fourth win of the season with a 70-60 victory over Concordia.

The Bearcats trailed the entire night until their fourth-quarter rally. Orrick heated up in the final 8 minutes to outscore the Orioles 32-12. Concordia, which defeated the Bearcats by 20 points earlier in the season, held an 18-6 advantage after one period and built a 35-21 cushion by halftime. Orrick began crawling back into the contest with a 17-13 scoring advantage in the third quarter before breaking loose in the fourth frame.

Tanner Werle hit two of his three 3-pointers during that fourth-quarter rally. Griffen Harris added another trey and 6 points in the quarter, with Tanner Wyse and Mason Karnes each scoring a half dozen in the fourth period.
