MONDAY, NOVEMBER 25

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. with weigh-in, Weight Watchers will meet at the Ray County Health Department, 820 E. Lexington St., Richmond.

At 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., T.O.P.S. (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets at the United Christian Presbyterian Church, 501 N. Spartan Dr., Richmond.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 26

At 11:30 a.m., Richmond Kiwanis meets at the 19th Hole with social time beginning at 11:30 and meeting at noon.

At 4 p.m., American Legion will host bingo at the Ray County Veterans Building, 312 Clark St., Richmond. Doors open at 4 p.m. with the first game beginning at 6 p.m.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27

From 4:30 to 5:30 p.m., The Hardin Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry will have food distribution and pick up for preregistered Hardin School District Families (This includes Stet) At the Hardin United Methodist Church. For more information or to register call 660-398-4532.

From 6 to 8 p.m., First Baptist Church, Richmond will host Celebrate Recovery led by Mike Bliss.  For general information, 816-776-2296.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 28

Beginning at 7:30 a.m., Hardin Community Betterment Association will host a Turkey Trot 5K and Fun Run/Walk at Hardin-Central School.  $20 registration fee includes T-shirt.  5k begins at 8 a.m.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1

At 10 a.m., The Richmond United Methodist Church located at 212 West Main Street in Richmond will present it’s Annual Hanging of the Green service during the regular Sunday worship service at 10 a.m.. For more information call 816-776-2122.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7

From 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., Lexington Christmas Bazaar & Craft Show will be held at Lexington High School.  Hosted by Xi Lambida Epsilon Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.

At noon, Chapter CO of P.E.O. will have their Christmas luncheon at Hometown Pizza.

At 6 p.m., Knoxville Community Church will host a carry in dinner with music to follow provided by The Gorsett Family.  Everyone is welcome to attend.

At 7 p.m., Pisgah Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir will present “Joy of Every Longing Heart” Christmas Cantata. 1.5 miles east of Excelsior Springs on Hwy. 10.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 8

At 10 a.m.,  The youth of the Richmond United Methodist Church located at 212 West Main Street in Richmond will present the children’s Christmas Program during the regular worship service. Following the service refreshments will be served and there will be a visit from a special guest. For more information call 816-776-2122.

At 10:15 a.m., Pisgah Baptist Church Sanctuary Choir will present “Joy of Every Longing Heart” Christmas Cantata. 1.5 miles east of Excelsior Springs on Hwy. 10.

At 5:15 p.m., Santa Clause will be coming to town in Hardin along the top of a Hardin Fire Truck.  After his arrival he will be at the Hardin Fire Station from 6 to 8 p.m. to visit all the children.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 15

At 10 a.m., The Richmond United Methodist Church located at 212 West Main Street in Richmond will present their Annual Christmas Cantata during the regular Sunday worship service at 10 a.m.. For more information call 816-776-2122.

TUESDAY, DECEMBER 24

At 5:30 p.m., The Richmond United Methodist Church located at 212 West Main Street in Richmond will hold their Annual Christmas Eve Candlelight Communion Service. The United Methodist Church has an open communion table, and all are welcome to receive. For more information call 816-776-2122.

Meeting times for Richmond AA and Al-Anon are:  Mondays noon and 8 p.m., Tuesdays noon and 8 p.m., Wednesdays at noon, Thursdays at noon, Fridays noon and 8 p.m. (open meetings), Saturdays noon and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 10 a.m. Open meetings include the first and third Fridays and at 6 p.m. Sunday Big Book Study. Al-Anon meets at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. Both groups meet at 304 W. Franklin St., Richmond.
