Corn harvested was 82 percent complete, 39 days behind last year but same as normal. Corn moisture at harvest was 16.5 percent, ranging from 13.9 percent in the southwest district to 17.6 percent in the south-central district. Soybeans mature were 93 percent, 2 days behind last year and 2 days behind normal. Soybeans harvested were 64 percent complete, 5 days behind last year and 4 days behind normal. Winter wheat planting was 64 percent complete, 8 days behind last year and 2 days behind normal. Winter wheat emerged was 43 percent, 7 days behind last year and 4 days behind normal. Winter wheat condition was 1 percent poor, 49 percent fair, 48 percent good, and 2 percent excellent.
Pasture & Livestock
Pasture condition was 3 percent very poor, 17 percent poor, 49 percent fair, 29 percent good, and 2 percent excellent. Supply of hay and other roughages was 1 percent very short, 8 percent short, 78 percent adequate, and 13 percent surplus. Stock water supplies were 1 percent very short, 16 percent short, 81 percent adequate, and 2 percent surplus.
