Martha Mary Outersky, 89, of Richmond, died Tuesday, Nov.12, 2013 at North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City.
Martha was born Nov. 16, 1923 in Richmond, to Bartlett and Myrtle (Garrett) McLallen. She first married Earl Woodson Green of Lexington, Oct. 23, 1943; he preceded her in death Aug. 6, 1965. She later married Joe Wallace Outersky of Richmond, May 9, 1970; he preceded her in death Dec. 8, 2009.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Russ and April Green of Richmond, Rick and Linda Outersky of Mountain Grove, and Larry and Kelly Outersky of Kansas City, Mo.; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren also survive.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Martha was preceded in death by three brothers, Junior McLallen, J.R. McLallen and Wallace McLallen; and one sister, Dorothy Stigall.
Martha was a homemaker. She was a member of the Rayville Christian Union Church. She was also a member of the Farmers Neighborhood Club and an active member of the Richmond Senior Center.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Richmond Senior Center.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Nov. 16, at 11 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 16, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond.
