Wesley Michael Legg, 39, of the Hardin & Norborne, area, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013 at his home.
Wesley was born Nov. 15, 1973 in Richmond, to Gerald Densil and Linda Kay (Vaughn) Legg. He married Malinda “Mindy” Anne Williams of Kingston, April 30, 2005; she survives of the home.
Survivors include his parents, one daughter, Nikole of the home; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Julie Legg of Lathrop, and Jeremy and Rachel Legg of North Kansas City; and two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sonja and Jason Southern of Lathrop, and Jodi and Chris Essig of LaVeen, Ariz.; his mother-in-law Judy Walden; one sister-in-law, five brother-in-laws, their spouces; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and colleagues also survive.
Wes was raised and educated in the Holt and Kearney, area and graduated from the Hamilton High School in 1993. He had lived in Kingston before coming to the area in 2005. He was a Water Plant Technician for the City of Richmond for the past 10 years. Wes was a member of the Hardin Volunteer Fire Department, A Certified CNA, First Responder and EMT. Wes enjoyed helping people and watching wildlife at his home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Hardin Volunteer Fire Department.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. at the Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 2, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Inurnment will be at a later date. Online condolences may be left at www.thurmanfuneralhome.com
