MONDAY, OCTOBER 28

From 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Ray County Health Department will offer flu shots for $20, or your Medicare Part B or Medicaid Card will be accepted.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Ray County Library Friends will host the annual book sale in the Community Room at the Ray County Library.  Please bring bags or boxes.

At 1:30 p.m., the Ray County Health Department will host a free food handler safety 2 hour training class at 820 East Lexington Street, Richmond. Call to reserve seating at 776-5413.

Beginning at 5:30 p.m. with weigh-in, Weight Watchers will meet at the Ray County Health Department, 820 E. Lexington St., Richmond.

From 6 to 8 p.m., Movement for Change Family Worship Center will host a revival at Maurice Roberts Park Under the Big Top.  Prayer, preaching and seeking God, with Evangelist Farrell Hockemeier, Elder Juan Williamson, Pastor Sylvester Carter, Pastor Rico Clayton, Pastor Josef Walker, Pastor Leonard Hendricks and Pastor Duane Acree.

At 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., T.O.P.S. (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets at the United Christian Presbyterian Church, 501 N. Spartan Dr., Richmond.

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29

At 11:30 a.m., Richmond Kiwanis meets at the 19th Hole with social time beginning at 11:30 and meeting at noon.

At 4 p.m., American Legion will host bingo at the Ray County Veterans Building, 312 Clark St., Richmond. Doors open at 4 p.m. with the first game beginning at 6 p.m.

At 9 a.m., Connect with your well deserved VA Benefits.  Hearing problems? Agent oranged? Meetings will be held every Thursday at the Veterans Building on Clark St.  Contact Jim Rippy for more information 816-739-9899.

From 5 to 8 p.m., Richmond Police Department will host Trick or Treat Street at the Richmond City Hall Gym.  All are welcome. Volunteers please be there by 4:30 p.m.  Donations for candy and monetary will be accepted till the event begins.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1

From 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., The Lawson Assembly of God women’s ministry is again hosting its annual craft show. The show will contain 60 booths located in the gymnasium and in the church as well. Lawson Assembly of God is located at 527 W 6th Street (D Hwy) in Lawson.Breakfast and lunch will be served and concessions available.

At 6:30 p.m., Vibbard Christian Union Church will host a Dinner Theatre in the worship center. Tickets are $15 each, with proceeds going to VCU Haiti Missions. Contact Jamie Fine at 816-517-1785 for tickets.

At 7 p.m., Farris Youth Theatre Company is pleased to present the Disney musical Alice in Wonderland, Jr. Tickets are just $7 for adults, and $5 for students.

At 9 a.m., Ray County Retired School Teachers and Personnel meeting at Richmond United Methodist Church,  Pat Mills will be sharing information regarding the programs at the Ray County Senior Center.  Hospitality:  Barbara Fifer & Suanne Littleton.

At 1 p.m., Chapter CO of P.E.O. will meet at the home of Mary Bidding with Martha Balman as the co-hostess. The social time begins at 1 p.m. with the business meeting to follow at 1:30

From 4 to 5 p.m.,  Havesters mobile food pantry will be at 210 Hwy. and Bruns Rd. at the Arnold’s Pioneer Seed Building in Orrick.  This is available on a first come first serve basis.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 7

Meeting times for Richmond AA and Al-Anon are:  Mondays noon and 8 p.m., Tuesdays noon and 8 p.m., Wednesdays at noon, Thursdays at noon, Fridays noon and 8 p.m. (open meetings), Saturdays noon and 8 p.m. and Sundays at 10 a.m. Open meetings include the first and third Fridays and at 6 p.m. Sunday Big Book Study. Al-Anon meets at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays. Both groups meet at 304 W. Franklin St., Richmond.
