Tara Sloane Rowland and Jason Owen Claire were united in marriage October 12, 2013 at 3 p.m. The vintage fall ceremony was at the home of Tim and Renee Claire in Rayville. The changing colors of the leaves, trees and the gazebo were the perfect backdrop for the vintage wedding officiated by Pastor Bill Bamman.
A reception followed at VanTill Winery where the guest enjoyed an evening of dancing, toasting to family, and a meal of brick-oven pizza and fresh vegetables. The groom’s table was filled with fresh apple pies and a beautiful three-tier wedding cake in grays and yellows with a claddaugh design. Just after dark, the guests were surprised by a fantastic firework display to mark this joyous day for Tara and Jason.
The bride is the daughter of Rick and Sydney Rowland of Midland, Texas. She was also honored by the attendance of her grandparents, Ray and Ruthie Barron of Midland. The groom is the son of Tim and Renee Claire of Rayville, and Debi and Jeff Tally of Waco, Texas. He was honored by the attendance of his grandparents, Judy Claire and Kate Linebarger. The bride and groom felt blessed to see that so many of their aunts, uncles, cousins and friends to witness their vows and share in the celebration of their union.
Given in marriage by her father, Tara wore a beautiful long lace gown and carried a bouquet of yellow flowers and local harvested wheat. The Maid of Honor was sister and best friend, Mallory Rowland of Midland. Her aunt, Kalee Van Meter, served as bridesmaid. The flower girls were Cambree VanMeter, Isabella Barron and Cameron Ruff. The groom was attended by Best Man Tim Claire, his father. Rick Rowland served as his groomsman. The ringbearers were Gavin Lopez-Barron and Aiden VanMeter. The couple lives in Greenwood where Tara teaches second grade at Greenwood Elementary and Jason is a police officer for the City of Midland Police Department.
They had a short honeymoon at a cottage in Excelsior Springs and are looking forward to a summer honeymoon in Ireland.
